God Is Not Afraid of Your Hunger-John 10:10 (KJV)

God Is Not Afraid of Your Hunger

John 10:10 (KJV)

“I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Matthew 5:6 (KJV)

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.”

Reflection

God is not the God of barely enough.
He is the God of more.

Jesus did not say life would be sufficient.
He said it would be abundant.

Yet many believers feel uneasy with desire.
They confuse hunger with pride
and longing with greed.

So when the heart whispers,
“I want more of God,”
they quiet it.

But Jesus never did.

He made a promise—
not to the accomplished,
not to the satisfied,
but to the hungry.

“They shall be filled.”

Hunger does not push God away.
It draws Him closer.

God does not punish holy desire.
He rewards it.

📖 More Scripture

Ephesians 3:20

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think…”

1 Peter 2:2

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word,
that ye may grow thereby.”

Desire is not weakness.
It is capacity.

Even the apostle Paul—
after visions, miracles, and revelation—
still cried out:

Philippians 3:10

“That I may know him,
and the power of his resurrection.”

God did not rebuke him.
He kept pouring.

Because more is not about chasing experiences.
It is about pursuing relationship.

The Holy Spirit is not a feeling.
He is a Person.

To say “more”
is to say,
“I want deeper communion.”

And God loves that language.

So today,
do not shrink your desire.

A heart that says more
is a heart God gladly fills.
